about us
We believe every Christ follower has influence–whether you have 1,000 Instagram followers or 20 Facebook friends. Social media is more than a platform; it’s a mission field. Our goal is to challenge believers to engage with social media in a way that reflects their faith and stands apart from the status quo.
Jessica Johnson
I’m Jessica, founder of upside down influencer. After working in media for over a decade–creating content for pastors, Christian authors, and faith-based organizations–I felt the weight of my online presence. I wasn’t just representing my workplace; I was representing Christ. Over time, I realized that this weight applies to every believer on social media, regardless their follower count.
But where could I turn for guidance on navigating social media as a Christ follower? How should I approach trends, comment on cultural moments, or even view cancel culture through a biblical lens? These were questions I longed to have answered but found few resources that could help. That’s why I started upside down influencer: to spark these conversations, provide biblical guidance, and leave space for believers to develop their own convictions.
What makes us different
Unlike others who focus on social media marketing or content creation, upside down influencer is about the spiritual side of showing up online. Social media moves fast–trends rise and fall daily–but the call to be set apart remains constant. Through our podcast, resources, and social media channel, we aim to help Christians discern how to navigate these shifts while staying rooted in their faith.
A community for Christ-followers online
We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we’re committed to asking the right questions. Through Q+A episodes, engaging comments sections, and open conversations, we’re building a community of believers who are willing to challenge themselves and grow together.
